Visual Guide: Importing Records

You may instantly import records from most major publisher databases and popular reference managers.
To do so:
First make sure the import files have '.ris' or '.enw' file name extensions.
There are some '.txt' files that can be converted to '.ris' files and imported as well, by renaming the file. Simply click on the file name, and type "ris" in place of the current file name extension.

We recommend you import no more than 200 records at a time. These 200 records may be divided between up to 20 files at a time.
Click the Browse button, and select the files you would like to import.

Click on the Choose List dropdown menu that now appears > click on the list into which you would like to import the records > click on the Import button.

Useful Tip:
  • Click here to view instructions on how to export records from EndNote, RefWorks and Reference Manager.
